1. Acceptance
By using SeeTheScale you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What SeeTheScale is
SeeTheScale makes huge numbers visible: as a stack of paper, a stack of money, a football field, a timeline or side by side. It is free, needs no account and is meant for information and education.
3. Figures and sources
All values are rounded approximations from the sources named with each comparison. They show orders of magnitude, not exact values. Estimates (e.g. of tax evasion or the number of stars) can differ widely between sources. For important decisions, check the original sources.
4. Your own comparisons
You are responsible for content you enter and share under “Your own”. Do not use it for unlawful, offensive or misleading content.
5. Sharing the graphics
You may share the generated graphics privately and publicly, e.g. on social networks, as long as the reference to SeeTheScale is kept.
6. Acceptable use
You may not query the site or its image endpoint automatically on a large scale, disrupt its operation or use it for unlawful purposes.
7. Warranty and liability
The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or constant availability. We are fully liable only for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here applies.
